TL;DR: Tailraise collects the bare minimum needed to function. We don't store personal details, don't run analytics, and don't use tracking cookies. The Patreon login is used only to verify supporter status. Any information we retain when you log in to Patreon is hashed and obscured to be unreadable.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Tailraise collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that information. Tailraise is designed to collect as little data as possible. We do not create accounts, store personal information, or run analytics.

1. Information We Collect

Tailraise is intentionally minimal in data collection. The only information handled is functional and temporary.

Cookies

We use functional cookies only, stored locally on your device:

Age-verification cookie: remembers whether you confirmed you are 18+.
Supporter cookie: remembers whether Patreon OAuth verification succeeded.

These cookies are NOT used for tracking, advertising, analytics, or profiling.

Patreon OAuth

If you choose to log in with Patreon, we temporarily receive limited information such as:

Your Patreon user ID
Your pledge/supporter status
Information on the device logging in

This information is used only to verify whether you are a supporter and the information is purposely hashed to be usable by the server, but unreadable to humans. None of this information is shared with third parties. Your access token is saved as a cookie on your device and expires after 7 days, which then needs another login to continue access.

Server Logs

Our hosting provider may automatically generate standard server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, timestamp). These logs are used only for security and debugging purposes and are automatically rotated. We do not attempt to collect any information other than what is necessary for you to connect to our servers.

2. How We Use Information

The limited information we handle is used solely to:

Verify Patreon supporter status for supporter-only content
Enforce the 18+ age gate via a functional cookie
Ensure the website and game function correctly

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share personal information.

3. Data Retention

Tailraise does not store personal information. Cookies remain on your device until they expire or are cleared. Server logs are automatically deleted as part of routine rotation.

4. Children's Privacy

Tailraise is intended for adults (18+) only. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

5. External Links

Tailraise may contain links to external websites such as Patreon. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party sites.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The “Last updated” date will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitute acceptance of the new policy.
